Gary Hamilton claimed Glenavon's 0-0 draw with Coleraine would have been "stopped if it had been a boxing match" such was the dominance of his side.
The Lurgan Blues did everything but score as they spurned numerous opportunities to take the points in an entertaining affair at Mourneview Park.
While they may have missed the opportunity to close the gap on the sixth-placed Bannsiders Hamilton has been pleased with how the season has gone so far.

"You get these days in football when you play well but you don't get your rewards," he said.
"We created numerous chances, we had four in the first half alone.
"I can't even remember how many chances we created in the second half, if it was a boxing match it probably would have been ended.
"Unfortunately in football you have to score goals and we didn't take our chances.
"That's the only criticism I can have from today, we weren't clinical in front of goal.
"The pleasing thing for us is that we kept a clean sheet.
"I was thinking with about 15 minutes to go Coleraine were going to hit us on the counter attack, score and win the game.
"Those things can happen in football but thankfully not today.
"We kept going right to the death and kept creating chances, unfortunately it was just one of those days.
"I'm proud of how we've performed so far this season, they are a good bunch of lads who work hard.
"They maybe haven't had the rub of the green in some games, but we can't feel sorry for ourselves we just have to get on with it and keep putting performances in."
