Gary Cully has eyed up a world title fight after an emphatic second round win on Saturday night in Nottingham.
The Kildare man was in fine form and secured a second round knockout against Wilfredo Flores to claim the WBA Inter-Continental lightweight title.
Cully pestered his opponent with a jab in the first round which cut the previously undefeated American.
And he had a second round knock down which all but ended the contest.
And Flores was given a chance to fight back but Cully ended the contest just seconds after.
The win brings Cully's professional record to 16-0 with his emphatic win..
Cully had Pete Taylor in his corner and will fight next on the undercard of Katie Taylor's blockbuster bout against Amanda Serrano. in May.
And he said of his upcoming May 20th bout: "I want belts and I want titles. I want the bight nights and bright lights and want to travel to America and bring thousands of Irish with me.
"You've seen the reception I got here in Nottingham tonight, wait until we go home to Dublin and the Irish people how they turn out there and how they support me. It's going to be magic."
