Gary Brazil sends message as Nottingham Forest set up FA Youth Cup semi-final against Chelsea

Nottingham Forest will face serial winners Chelsea in the FA Youth Cup semi-finals after comfortably beating Blackburn Rovers last night.

Jack Nadin opened the scoring in the 26th minute before Esapa Osong made it 2-0 at half-time.

The Reds secured their progress with a third goal in the 77th minute as Osong grabbed his second. Patrick Gamble netted a late consolation for Blackburn.

After the game, academy director Gary Brazil confirmed first team boss Steve Cooper had made the trip to Ewood Park.

He tweeted: "Fantastic disciplined performance by our boys tonight against a very good side. Congratulations to staff and players, a great team effort from all at @NFFCAcademy. Well supported by all at @NFFC, including Steve Cooper making the journey up to Ewood Park."

Forest will host Chelsea in the next round but the details of the tie are yet to be confirmed.
