Take That star Gary Barlow has shut down rumours that he is to appear as a cameo on his former bandmates biopic, Better Man. The film is based on the life of Robbie Williams and is currently being filmed in Melbourne, Australia.
Speculation circulated about his potential cameo as Gary Barlow, 51, was recently spotted in Australia with his family. He was seen at a number of cafes and gyms with his two daughters, Emily, 19, and Daisy, 12.
The singer-songwriter went to Twitter to say that hints that he was making a cameo appearance were “total rubbish”. A representative for Gary also confirmed to the Mirror that he was “just on holiday”.

Gary is currently taking some time off his huge A Different Stage tour. He took to social media at the start of April to announce the mini break.
He said: “Taking a step back for a few weeks. It’s been a monster start to the year launching and opening a brand new show ‘A different stage’ I’m already looking forward to the next instalment of that. Hope everyone’s ok”
Robbie’s biopic Better Man is currently being filmed in the city down under. It is reported that the singer will play himself in the film, with special effects being used to deage the 48-year-old.
Actor Jonno Davies, 29, is said to be filling in for Robbie’s flashback scenes. Teenage Gary Barlow will be played by 24-year-old Jake Simmance, who starred in BBC’s Call the Midwife and Netflix’s recent series Anatomy of a Scandal.
Howard Donald is said to be played by Liam Head, Mark Owen is understood to be played by Jesse Hyde, and Jason Orange by Chase Vollenweider.
Robbie was part of the boyband from 1990 to 1995 before leaving to pursue a solo career. He rejoined the group in 2010 until 2012, but has not been part of the band since.
The film is being directed by Michael Gracey, who is best known for his award-winning work directing award-winning film The Greatest Showman (2017).
