Garth Brooks Dublin 2022: Where to find cheap accommodation ahead of Croke Park gigs

It’s nearly time to dust off the cowboy hats ahead of Garth Brooks’ five-nights at Croke Park.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the star's first visit to Ireland in 24 years. The country singer finally gets his five nights in Croker on September 9, 10, 11, 16 and 17 – his last-ever stadium concerts.

But those without a hotel booked are in for a fright as prices are rocketing on Booking.com, Trivago and AirBnB. With hotels booked out and taxis rare to find in the capital, it’s going to be a difficult one.

For those looking to stay a bit further away from the venue, it could be a shout pre-booking a taxi in advance, or walking into the city centre to get a Nitelink bus to your accommodation.

One option includes a twin room in Travelodge Dublin Airport North in Swords. It costs €318 for two people. The 16 bus is 24 hours and takes you from Drumcondra to Swords, so it could be a possibility.

There are some spots at Camac Valley Tourist Caravan and Camping Park in Clondalkin. It costs €26 for a tent. They will also have buses going to and from the stadium for around tenner per person.

If you fancy a hostel near Croke Park, Jacob’s Inn on Talbot Place offers one bed in a 10-pod mixed dormitory for €210 up to €226 for the night. It’s another €2 to rent a towel. Leevin Hostel in Mountjoy will cost you €84 a head for a bunk in a female room with seven other people. It’s €98 for a bunk bed in a six-bed female or male-only dorm in the same venue.

But for those wanting a hotel, Booking.com does have a few options left. For two people to stay on Friday, September 16, it’s €359 to stay in the Clayton Hotel in Charlemont. It’s €379 to stay in the Sandymount Hotel, €400 to stay in Blackrock B&B, €399 to stay in Herbert Park Hotel and Park Residence in Ballsbridge and €425 to stay in Jurys Inn Dublin Parnell Street.
