Ireland boss Andy Farrell has issued an update on Garry Ringrose after the centre was given oxygen on the pitch in distressing scenes during his side's Six Nations win over Scotland.
Ringrose received lengthy on-field treatment after his head connected with the hip of Scotland's Blair Kinghorn in an attempted tackle in the 72nd minute and he collapsed to the turf. The match was paused for nearly eight minutes as medics tended to him.
There was real concern for the Leinster man as he was placed in a stretcher and carted off the field, although he managed to give the applauding crowd at Murrayfield a thumbs up as his 50th cap ended in unfortunate fashion.

On Monday afternoon, the Irish Rugby Union released a statement saying: "Garry Ringrose is doing well today and has returned to Dublin. He will take no further part in this year’s Championship."
Following the match, which saw Ireland win secure a comfortable 22-7 win over Scotland to keep their Grand Slam hopes alive, Farrell gave the latest update on Ringrose after the scary scenes.
"We were texting his mother and father there because they were very concerned," he said. "There were safety checks there - precaution-wise - around necks and stuff but he was up and talking so hopefully he will be fine.
"Garry is up and talking, a little bit dazed.
"So, he's taking his time, trying to come around. He's not in the dressing-room, he's in the medical room."
The stricken centre is one of a number of new injury concerns for Farrell to deal with after the Ireland boss also saw forwards Caelen Doris, Dan Sheehan and Iain Henderson all forced off with injury during Sunday's first half, with replacement Ronan Kelleher also withdrawing later in the match.
Ireland's injury list has grown so long that Farrell joked that further knocks would force him to consider playing a local side's under-12s team, as he told BBC Sport: "We've got players that have gotten sent home that are watching today. They will be immensely proud of their team, will meet up with us tomorrow night and we'll go again.
"We've got a good squad. [But] if we get any more injuries in the week we might have to have a look at Old Belvedere Under-12s!
He added: "We will lick our wounds and go again, we have earned the right. We know we've got a wounded England coming, so they're going to be dangerous as well next weekend. It will be a hell of a weekend to look forward to on Paddy's weekend".
