Commuters who use Garforth train station on a daily basis will be able to take advantage of the brand new car park from Friday, December 20.
There has been disruption for more than five months since contractors moved onto site in mid-July to complete the £1.12 million works.
Spaces were restricted throughout the process, with only around 100 spaces available and no on-street parking nearby.
However, the lengthy upgrade is now complete and there is now enough space for 333 cars on site, including 15 blue badge bays.
The significant works have also seen CCTV, low-energy lighting and enhanced drainage infrastructure installed, while a bigger cycle storage area and repair station will open in early 2020.
Cllr Kim Groves, chair of the West Yorkshire Combined Authority Transport Committee, said: "I am pleased to see the significantly extended car park re-open and would like to thank Garforth station users and local residents for bearing with us while the work has been carried out and spaces have been limited.
“We are creating around 2,000 additional parking spaces at 14 stations across West Yorkshire through the West Yorkshire-plus Transport Fund park to increase the opportunity for commuters to park and ride by train for the last part of their journey."
The upgrade at Garforth comes at the same time as a huge £161 million upgrade to Leeds train station, which will see extra platforms installed, improved facilities and a brand new transparent roof above the revamped main concourse.
