Classic Hits DJ Gareth O'Callaghan has shared a heartfelt message as he proudly showed off a present from his beloved wife.
The radio legend and his family were involved in a horror car crash in Cork City last month. The former-RTE DJ is still in hospital recovering from his injuries.
In a heartwarming message, Gareth gave an update on his recovery as he thanked fans for their gifts and kindness. Speaking from the South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital, he said: "Thank you for all the kind comments in recent weeks, and to those of you who have sent handwritten cards, Mass bouquets, novenas, books, poetry, and also the Spotify playlists.

"I am genuinely so grateful for all the kindness shown to us in so many ways during these past five challenging weeks." He also shared a picture of him wearing his "brand new" Bluetooth headphones which were a present from his wife, Paula, who is still recovering at home.
Gareth said: "Progress here is slow but going well, and I am starting to feel big improvements overall, even though there's still some way to go. Positivity is strong and the glass is half full.
"I will be here for a while longer, so no point just for now guessing when I might be back on air. I'll let you know as soon as I know."
He also thanked all the staff at the SIVUH who have been "fantastic with their support and kindness since I arrived here.
"I hope you're enjoying the good weather. I hope this is not going to be our summer! Have a good week and I'll keep you posted."
