ALLY MCCOIST has urged Rangers to consider offering Gareth Bale a bumper contract to bring him to Ibrox this summer.
The Welshman, who says he has had “loads” of offers since his nine-year stay at Real Madrid came to an end, is currently considering his future.
Cardiff City have been heavily linked with a move, but McCoist reckons some of Scotland's stunning golf courses could lure the 32-year-old up north.
Speaking on talkSPORT, he said: "If I was Rangers I’d go offer him something as well.
"Listen, he's at a stage in his life he wants to enjoy himself.
"We all know he's a big golf fan, we've got the best golf courses.
"I'd bring him up here and say: 'Look, have a year up here'. The fans will love him, absolutely love him.
"I know the argument would be there was disappointment with Aaron Ramsey, he wasn't 100 per cent fit, I get that.
"He's at the stage now, would America be an option?
"I don't know him so I can't speak for him but it looks like he's a period where he wants to enjoy the last two or three years of his playing career."
