The Philadelphia Eagles excused Gardner Minshew from practice on Tuesday so he could attend the memorial service for Mississippi State coach Mike Leach, who died last week, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Leach was Minshew’s coach at Washington State and the quarterback recalled how authentic Leach was.

Minshew might start Saturday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys if the Philadelphia Eagles’ Jalen Hurts doesn’t recover from a sprained throwing shoulder.
