When you have seedlings, one of your first hurdles is to transfer your hard-grown plants outside so they can continue growing.
During this process, where you move from from their pots to a bigger area of soil so they have more room to go, you have to be careful to give them their best possible chance of survival.
You will want to create holes for each of your seedlings in the soil, and make sure there's enough space between them so they can grow independently.
Luckily, a gardening expert has shared a great hack to make this incredibly easy, all while using a kitchen staple you likely already have in your collection.
Gardening company Vego Garden took to their TikTok account @vego_garden to share the "super simple hack".
In the video, they show how they create the holes for the seedlings to go in using a muffin tin to "perfectly space your seedlings and plants in your garden bed".
They added: "Just measure the bottom for reference and press the tin into the dirt according to your crop's needs.
"You'll be left with uniform indentations that you can use to plant without guessing."
If you don't want to plant your seedlings as close as the muffin holes end up being, Vego said: "You don't have to use all the indentations! Maybe just the outside cups! Space according to the seed packet."
Social media users loved the hack, with many saying it was a "genius" and "great idea". Another added: "Such a great trick".
Once your seedlings are planted you need to make sure you water them properly so they continue to thrive.
One gardening expert recently advised using a very unusual item to keep your blooms fresher for longer - nappies.
Shaun Schroeder explained that if you place nappies at the base of hanging basket displays, it will keep your flowers blooming for longer, as it makes sure they hydrate slowly - which is vital during the summer months.
