A garden centre is believed to be selling the cheapest fuel in Merseyside.
Gordale Garden Centre in Neston has advertised its petrol and diesel as some of the cheapest in the region thanks to the fact that the petrol station is independently owned and isn't tied to a larger company. The retailer explained in a post to its customers that the prices change with each delivery and while the wholesale price has dropped it will be offering a cut price rate to those in the area.
The centre confirmed that the price change isn't likely to stay how it is due to it constantly changing at a wholesale price for the centre. Posting the news on Facebook, people were ecstatic about the price drop in comparison to other petrol stations in the area.

The post: "As a single independent retailer, selling petrol and diesel can be a rollercoaster. Our price changes with every delivery, nothing is guaranteed, and we have to react instantly to ensure that we remain viable. We always try to offer the best price locally wherever we can, but there are times when we cannot.
"We are truly grateful for the continued support of our loyal local customers, even though it sometimes may be cheaper elsewhere. The market has been extremely volatile since the early part of the year, but today is a good day.
"We are delighted to be able to offer petrol at 169.9 pence per litre and diesel at 187.9 ppl. We can’t promise it will last forever, but whilst the going is good, we are happy to pass on the drop in wholesale fuel prices to our lovely customers.
"If we get busy, please be patient and kind to our lovely colleagues. If you’re coming for our very reasonably priced fuel, please remember to visit our lovely garden centre too."
One person commented: "Very well done I will make a special journey to support you as you are the only retailer doing this for your customers."
Another person said: "How refreshing! Great news for customers and so nice that you are not ripping people off."
