The gardai have slammed those sharing images of the fatal M50 crash which are "disrespectful" to the deceased and their family.
The section of the M50 between Junction 9 and 7 was closed since the crash which caused chaos as the bank holiday traffic began to leave the city. It has since reopened.
In a tweet, the gardai said: "An Garda Síochána is aware of graphic images of today's Fatal Road Traffic collision which are being shared across social media and messaging apps. An Garda Síochána appeals to everybody, DO NOT SHARE This Material, it is disrespectful to the deceased, their family and friends."

Gardai are also appealing for witnesses following a fatal crash on the M50 earlier this afternoon.
A spokesman said: "Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
"Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling on the M50 Northbound before Junction 9 prior to the road being closed or to any road users who may have passed the scene to please make this footage available to Gardaí."

Ambulances, fire engines and garda officers rushed to the scene of the crash the crash which happened at around 2pm this afternoon.
M50 Dublin sent their condolences to the families to the deceased.
They tweeted: "All lanes have fully reopened N'bound at J9 Red Cow following this afternoons fatal traffic collision. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased."
