A man has been arrested after a shocking armed robbery took place in Dublin on Monday afternoon.
Gardai raced to the scene of the robbery on the Jamestown Road around about 5pm.
A man entered a business premises on the road in Finglas, armed with a weapon and threatened the staff members. He left the scene on foot with a sum of money.
In a follow up search of the area gardai arrested one man aged in his 50s and the stolen cash from the premises was located.
He was taken to Finglas Garda station where he was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
He has since been charged in relation to the incident and is due to appear this morning Tuesday 8th March, 2022 at Blanchardstown District Court, Court Number 1 at 10.30a.m.
A Garda spokesperson told the Irish Mirror: "Investigations are ongoing"
