Gardaí in Monaghan have launched an investigation after the discovery of a man's body in the county this morning.
The man's body was found on grounds of a hotel on the Kingscourt Road at Lossets, Co Monaghan at 8am.
A member of the public made the grim discovery and immediately phoned the local gardaí in Carrickmacross who are now investigating the circumstances of the discovery.

The M Hotel is located just four miles outside Carrickmacross. Gardáí say the body was found in "unexplained circumstances." The scene has been preserved for a forensic examination and the office of the State Pathologist has been informed.
The results of a post-mortem will determine the line of the garda inquiry.
In a statement to the Irish Mirror, a garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí in Carrickmacross are investigating the discovery of a body in unexplained circumstances this morning, Tuesday, 1st November 2022.
"At approximately 8am, following a call from a member of the public, Gardaí discovered a man’s body on the curtilage of a premises on the Kingscourt Road at Lossets, Co.Monaghan.
"The scene is currently preserved and a technical examination will be conducted by the Garda technical Bureau.
"The office of the State Pathologist have been notified. The results of the post-mortem will determine the course of the investigation."
