Gardaí have called on social media users to refrain from sharing footage of the fatal stabbing of Aaron Keating, as they continue to investigate the tragic incident in Ongar.
Officers continue to question a teenager who yesterday handed himself into Gardai, accompanied by a member of his family. He was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Gardaí have also revealed that a post-mortem has been conducted on Mr Keating, who was tragically killed on the main street in Ongar on Tuesday evening, June 13. The results of the post-mortem will not be released for operational purposes.

Gardaí have now issued a fresh appeal for witnesses, as well as a call for anyone with footage of the incident to make it available to investigators and avoid sharing it on social media.
An update from An Garda Siochana this morning reads: "Gardaí in Blanchardstown are continuing to investigate the fatal assault that occurred on Main Street, Ongar on Tuesday 13th June, 2023.
"A male juvenile teen was arrested on suspicion of murder and conveyed to a Garda Station in West Dublin where he is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
"A post mortem of the deceased, a male in his 40s, has been conducted. The results of which will not be released for operational reasons.
"Gardaí are continuing to appeal for any persons with information in relation to this incident to come forward and any road users with video footage (including dash cam) are asked to make this available to them.
"Gardaí are aware that members of the public may have recorded footage of this incident and request that this footage is provided to Gardaí and not to share it on social media.
"Investigating Gardaí are continuing to appeal to any persons who were in the vicinity of Main Street, Ongar the evening of Tuesday 13th June, 2023 between 6.30p.m. and 7p.m. to contact them at Blanchardstown Garda station on 01 666 7000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
