There have been seven arrests in a major sting in Dublin and Meath today as part of Operation Thor.
Operation Thor targets organised crime groups that are involved in burglary, theft of Catalytic Converters and tools and organised shoplifting. Today nine premises were raided by gardai as part of the ongoing investigation with six males and one female arrested.
Three males (aged 17, 18 and 30) were arrested as part of the investigation while three more males (aged 17, 29 and 35 years) were arrested under outstanding warrants. A female aged 17-years-old was arrested in relation to theft and fraud offences.

A large amount of stolen property including electrical goods, pharmaceutical products, children's toys, various stolen tools and catalytic converters with an approximate value of €30,000 was seized. Among the items found were multiple cloned registration plates and cutting equipment, approximately €15,000 cash, a Double-barrel shotgun and six vehicles suspected of being the proceeds of crime.
The Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) was assisted by other specialised units including the Special Crime Task Force (SCTF), the Strategic Tactics and Operations Command (STOC), the Garda Dog Unit, the Stolen Motor Vehicle Investigation Unit (SMVIU) along with uniform and Detective personnel assigned to local Garda Síochána based in the DMR Region and the Eastern Region.
