A man in his 30s has been arrested as part of a Garda investigation into a fatal assault in Newbridge last month.
The man was arrested on Friday as part of the probe into the fatal assault of a man in his 40s outside a house in Newbridge, Co Kildare on March 8.
The arrested man is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in Co Kildare.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
Gardaí rushed to the scene at Piercetown in Newbridge on March 8 after reports of a man with serious injuries.
He was taken to Naas General Hospital in a critical condition but he later died.
