Gardai launch probe after man hospitalised following stabbing incident in Tallaght

A man was rushed to hospital after a stabbing incident in Tallaght on Sunday evening.

The incident happened at 6:30pm on Sunday in the Mac Uilliam area of Tallaght. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured man was taken to Tallaght University Hospital.

Gardai have said that his injuries are "non-life threatening". The scene underwent a technical examination, which has now concluded.

Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to get in contact.

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardai are investigating an assault on a man that occurred at approximately 6:30pm on Sunday 9th July 2023 in the Mac Uilliam area of Tallaght, Dublin 24.

"The man was taken to Tallaght University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. A technical examination of the scene has been conducted and investigations are ongoing.

"Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to this assault to come forward. Anyone with any information is asked to contact Tallaght Garda station on 01 6666000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station."
