A shocking assault by a gang of youths that took place in Kerry over the weekend is being investigated by the gardai.
The attack took place in Killarney town centre on New Street and Chapel Lane on Saturday evening shortly after 8.30pm.
The incident was caught on video and the clip shows a group of up to six youths or more attacking a young man who was lying on the ground.
The victim is seen attempting to shield his head while being kicked repeatedly in the vicious assault.

Footage of the dangerous group attack was shared on social media by local news outlet Radio Kerry on Thursday and has since received over 20k views.
A garda spokesperson said: "On Saturday 21st May, 2022 Gardaí responded to reports of a disturbance involving a group of youths on New Street / Chapel Lane, Killarney shortly after 8:30pm.
"There was no reports of any injuries and no arrests were made at scene.
"Enquires into the incident are ongoing.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact Killarney Garda Station (064) 667 1160."
