Gardai were called to a People Before Profit stall in Dublin yesterday following reports that a man threatened to "slit the throat" of TD Paul Murphy’s wife.
Mr Murphy was at a PBP pro-choice stall when a man approached him and allegedly began to make threats.
The Dublin South West TD said a man "came up to our PBP pro-choice today and told me he would slit my wife’s throat before the end of the week".

He added: "These are the people who claim to be protecting women."
Other members of the political party at the stall called gardai and the man reportedly left the area before they arrived.
Several people gave statements to gardai and Mr Murphy said it was his intention to make a formal complaint to gardai.
The alleged incident happened less than 24 hours after a video emerged online of a woman apparently harassing the PBP TD in Jobstown, Tallaght while he was out canvassing.
Mr Murphy said his family home has also been targeted in recent weeks.
