Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene of a fatal single-vehicle collision in Co Cork on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred a few miles outside of the town of Skibbereen at Drishanebeg at around 1.30 pm.
The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers confirmed that his body has been removed to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem will take place.
There were no other injuries reported at the scene of the incident and Forensic Collision Investigators have since conducted a technical examination.
Gardai are now appealing to any person who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.
Any road users who were travelling through this area on Tuesday afternoon, who have camera (including dash cam) footage, are also asked to make this available to Gardaí.

“The collision involved a car and occurred at approximately 1:30 pm.
“The driver of the vehicle, a man aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
“His body has been removed to Cork University Hospital where a post mortem will take place. No other injuries were reported.
“Forensic Collision Investigators attended to conduct a technical examination.”
