The Loadmaster garbage truck that President-elect Donald Trump used during his campaign will be making a reappearance at the upcoming inaugural parade. Andrew Brisson, the vice president of the family-owned garbage truck body manufacturer in Norway, Michigan, confirmed in a phone interview with CNN that he will be driving the same truck used by Trump in late October at the parade.
Brisson mentioned that the Trump campaign had reached out to inquire about the availability of a truck for the Inauguration parade. After some effort, Brisson was able to locate a truck to feature in the parade. Additionally, the Trump campaign requested two more trucks for staging during Inauguration events, with discussions about potential locations at the convention center and the Liberty Ball.
Expressing his excitement, Brisson described the experience as surreal, seeing their product from a small town in Michigan garner national media attention. He highlighted the visibility of their logo in the background during the coverage of the event.
Brisson shared that he would be flying to Washington, DC, to drive in the parade, while the garbage trucks are being transported to their dealer in Virginia by a driveaway service.
