The 18-year-old is heading to Tynecastle after a deal was stuck with Newcastle United for the highly-rated attacker following his move from Central Coast Mariners. But Hearts make their pitch last week and managed to sway St James’ Park chiefs are well as the player and he is now on his way north.
It’s a major coup for the Jambos landing the frontman who emerged as one of the hottest youth properties in the game. Kuol was rated as among the A League’s brightest stars last season and his stock rocketed on the back of an impressive World Cup, where he helped the Socceroos reach the knockout stages. Hearts were desperate to bolster their attacking options and ease some of the load on Premiership leading marksman Lawrence Shankland.
Kuol fits the bill and the youngster will now be reunited with Jambos defender Kyle Rowes, with the pair former teammates with Mariners.
