Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi warns Salman Khan of 'consequences' if he does not apologise to the Bishnoi community for killing blackbuck

Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has warned Bollywood superstar Salman Khan of 'consequences' if he doesn't issue an apology to the Bishnoi community for his involvement in the Blackbuck case.

In his latest interview from prison, the gangster issued another threat against the actor. Speaking to ABP News, Bishnoi said that his community was angry with the actor as he "humiliated" them. He added, "A case was filed against him but he did not apologise. If he does not tender an apology, be ready to face the consequences. I will not depend on anyone else."

He also called on the actor to apologise to the Bishnoi community before the Jambeshwarji temple. He pledged to back off if the community forgives the star. Lawrence said, "He should come to our deity's temple and apologise. If our society forgives, then I will not say anything."

Lawrence, who admitted his involvement in the killing of Punjabi singer and Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala, denied he had any role to play in the recent threat sent to Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan.

"The Mumbai Police interrogated me. I did not send the threatening letter," he said.

Last June, the actor received an unsigned letter saying that he will meet his end like Moose Wala. Following the threat, Salman was granted Y+ security and even given a gun license. The actor also upgraded his car to a bullet-proof vehicle and increased his security around his house and film sets.

According to reports, Salman had reportedly hunted a blackbuck which is a sacred animal in the Bishnoi community and also a protected species under the Wildlife Protection Act, of 1972. The actor shot the animal while shooting for his 1998 film 'Hum Saath Saath Hain'. He was sentenced to five years in jail by a Jodhpur court in a case filed by the Bishnoi community. However, he was granted bail.
