Gangland attack at Glasgow dump as man rushed to hospital with serious injuries

A man has been taken to hospital following a gangland attack at a council dump in Glasgow.

Police were called to the scene at Dawsholm Recycling Centre in the city on Saturday at around 4:15pm.

A man, understood to be a member of the Daniel crime clan, was found with serious injuries at the tip.

He was rushed to hospital for treatment.

Police remain on the scene following the incident. (unknown)

Police remain standing guard at the dump gates, while police vans have blocked off parts of the street.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Yesterday at 4.15pm, Police received a report that a man had been assaulted in Dawsholm Road, Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and the man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what's happened."
