A gang of thieves stole items from eight cars in one night, as police release CCTV footage of four men they would like to speak to.
Sometime between late evening on January 20 and 1.45pm the next day, items from eight vehicles were stolen from a number of roads in Widnes. A gang targeted homes on Lynton Crescent, Francis Close, Eastway, Borrowdale Road and Hanley Road.
On each occasion thieves stole property before making off.

Police have now released CCTV images of four men they would like to speak to in connection with the thefts. The images show the men wearing hooded clothes and opening the boot and door of a Mini Cooper.
Sgt Phil Berry said: “We are appealing to anyone who recognises the men in the CCTV or has more information about these thefts to contact us. The same goes for anyone with dashcam or doorbell footage which may have picked up suspicious activity in the area.”
