Gang boss Liam Byrne’s ‘influencer’ son Lee has deleted his widely followed Instagram page.
Lee Byrne, 22, who has no involvement in crime, racked up a large following of thousands of people on his Instagram page — where he regularly flashed his wealth with designer gear, sports cars and luxury holidays.
But yesterday it emerged that Lee, who once dated British model Daisey O’Donnell, had deleted his profile.

Meanwhile, it is understood the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) is investigating Lee’s father Liam Byrne — and is looking into Liam Byrne’s access to massive wealth and assets in the UK.
The NCA is understood to be investigating Liam Byrne alongside an ongoing criminal assets investigation into mobster Thomas ‘Bomber’ Kavanagh.
However Liam, whose brother David was murdered in Dublin’s Regency Hotel in February 2016, is believed to have been holed up in Dubai since December — after it is believed he got wind of the probe in the UK.
Meanwhile his son Lee has remained in the Liverpool area.
The probe into Liam Byrne comes after the NCA successfully prosecuted his brother-in-law Thomas ‘Bomber’ Kavanagh — a probe which saw Kavanagh sentenced to 21 years in prison last month for his role in a conspiracy to import €36 million worth of drugs.
Liam Byrne, who is a key member of the Kinahan cartel, has also come under additional pressure in recent days after authorities in the United States and the United Arab Emirates heavily sanctioned the mob — even freezing their bank accounts.
He may have believed he was safe in Dubai, where he has been spending the last number of months, close to his boss Daniel Kinahan.
Though the pair are not believed to get on well personally, the business relationship between Kinahan and Liam Byrne has remained close in recent years.
The unprecedented move by the UAE government last week has no doubt added extra pressure on Liam Byrne, who is believed to have taken on Bomber Kavanagh’s role as the leader of the cartel in the UK.
The mobster previously fled to the UK after the Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) seized millions of euro worth of his assets in 2019.
And while he kept his social life largely off social media, Liam’s innocent son Lee had no problem showing off his wealth and influence — up until now.
Lee has been pictured at the Ascot races, living it up in foreign locations such as Dubai, flexing designer gear and watches and hanging out with well known models and celebrities.
