Game of Thrones star to visit Banbridge Studio Tour

A Game of Thrones star is set to visit the Studio Tour in Banbridge at the end of this month.

Indira Varma will make a guest appearance at the tour experience for the popular fantasy show.

Varma, who starred as Ellaria Sand in the hit HBO show, will launch a new costume display.

Indira Varma said: "It simply had to happen, a Studio Tour where Game of Thrones was filmed, celebrating the making of a remarkable TV series that millions loved.

"It will be special being there and launching a new Dorne costume display.

"I have fond memories of filming on Game of Thrones in Northern Ireland, and it will be great to see those costumes again, and to learn more of the secrets behind the making of Game of Thrones."

The display will feature a dress worn by her character, as well as costumes worn by her in-show daughters and Dorne guard.

It will also include a prancing horse created by the show's special effects team.

Fans of the show will also be interested to see the battle armour worn by Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal) in his now infamous showdown with The Mountain in Season 4.

The studio tour at Linen Mill Studios allows visitors to walk through some of the sets from the show, including Winterfell and King's Landing.

Props from the show such as dragons, giants and weapons are on display too.

Indira Varma will be at the display from 1pm on Friday 30 June, with tickets available on the Game of Thrones Studio Tour website.
