The release date for the Game of Thrones spin off has been announced.
Filming for the prequel to smash-hit television show Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, took place in locations across Cornwall last year, including Holywell Bay near Newquay, St Michael's Mount and Kynance Cove, and Hartland Quay in North Devon.
A tweet from House of the Dragons' Twitter account posted on March 30 shows a dragon egg glowing orange with embers, alongside the caption: "Prince Daemon Targaryen. August 21. #HouseoftheDragon "

Fans will be able to stream the highly anticipated show on HBO Max from August 21, but UK fans will have to wait an extra day to get their turn. Sky has confirmed that the ten episodes will air on Sky Atlantic and streaming service Now from August 22.
The latest in the Game of Thrones series, is based on George R.R. Martin's Fire & Blood and is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. The show tells the story of House Targaryen.
The cast include Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D'Arcy, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, Fabien Frankel, and Rhys Ifans.
