Game of Thrones' rings are now a thing if you're considering a Westeros-themed proposal

With Game of Thrones season 8 now underway, fans of the show are preparing to say farewell to the mega-franchise that's kept them gripped since 2011.

There are several creative ways you can commemorate their love for the show, from investing in a Game of Thrones’ whisky to plumping for a GoT tattoo, like Sophie Turner and Emilia Clarke.

Now, for the romantically inclined, British jewellers Taylor & Hart has revealed a bespoke take on Game of Thrones merchandise, with two new one-off rings inspired by the HBO show.

The first is a 18ct rose gold and black rhodium piece called Duelling Dragons, which depitcts two dragons facing off in a clash of sapphire fire and diamond ice.

Fans will recognise the depiction of Daenerys’s dragon and her former dragon Viserion, who crossed over to the dark side (he's now a White Walker - or White flyer?)

Taylor & Hart say the ring “[builds] on the themes of the final season” and the eventual “showdown for which noble family rules Westeros and more broadly between the living and the dead” - how romantic.

Painstakingly designed with scales and reverse-set diamonds, the ring costs £3,200.

The second ring is more understated than the glittery Duelling Dragons piece, a signet ring inspired by the ravens which appear throughout the series. Engraved with flying birds and what appears to be the Iron Throne, the ring is made from platinum and the birds are detailed with black rhodium.

“The entire series has been centred on who sits on the Iron Throne with ravens being the carriers of information amongst allies and foes alike. Ravens are passionate defenders of perceived threats. And just like ravens, every character at one point in the series has fought off a threat - perceived or real” the Jason D'Heureux, the brand's creative director, explains.

Anyone for a Game of Thrones-themed proposal? Diehard fans only.
