Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams has announced she and her boyfriend have made the decision to split after five years together.
The actress, 25, said it was the "end of an era" as she made the heartbreaking announcement before stating that they are able to "protect the magic" that the pair radiate.
It comes after fans speculated that they had already parted ways after Maisie shared snaps on her social media account taken on holiday.
Meanwhile, Reuben also shared photographs from his own separate holiday with his social media followers.
But the former couple didn't make it clear when they made their decision to part ways, it's evident that they intend to remain friends.
In view of her 9.9 million fans, Maisie penned: "The end of an era. Reuben and I have decided to end our relationship.
"Since we met 5 years ago, our connection always extended deeply into our shared, and separate, creative careers… and it will continue to do so.
"This decision is something we are so grateful or as we can protect the magic, that we can't help but emit, whenever we put our brains together.
"P.s no further questions, please, we must protect our children (my dog)."
Both Maisie and Reuben had been inseparable since they decided to go public with their relationship back in 2018 after they were linked together.
They had been spotted holding hands during a romantic walk around New York City earlier that year with several assuming they had become an item.
This was later confirmed when she and Reuben attended the wedding of her co-star, Sophie Turner to singer Joe Jonas in June 2019 as she shared a snap of them online.
Maisie's sad announcement comes just after she reminisced on her time on Game of Thrones which launched her to global stardom as Arya Stark.
Speaking on Twitch with her brother James, she admitted that she had "rewatched it all recently" and when asked what she thought of the show which ran from 2011 til 2019, she said: "It was... Um... it definitely fell off at the end."
Despite this, Maisie says the show "started really strong" before explaining she was "heartbroken when Ned died because for the first time, I could really feel the story."
"For a long time I had to just avoid it because it was too triggering, but now I feel like I've made peace with it all, I guess," she added before continuing: "it feels good to be proud of it, it was 10 years of my life."
