Former LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels is not bothered by the pressure of playing for the New England Patriots. He made that clear when speaking with media members.
The Patriots coaching staff was on hand to watch his pro day, with nine Patriots representatives at the event in total. Coach Jerod Mayo was photographed talking to LSU coach Brian Kelly at the event, as the Patriots continue to do their homework on the top quarterbacks in the 2024 NFL draft.
Daniels has been linked to the Patriots in several mock drafts over the last couple of months. The signal-caller is not afraid to take on any challenge, including the pressure of playing after Tom Brady, as noted by the Boston Globe’s Christopher Price.
“I played in Death Valley after Joe Burrow,” said Daniels. “I feel like I’m ready for anything. I’m a game-changer at the quarterback position. That’s what I can bring to that franchise.”
Daniels would bring unique traits to the Patriots’ quarterback position with his athleticism and arm strength. He would also face a unique challenge of being part of the rebuild of the organization.
Time will tell what New England does at the quarterback position. However, it is very clear that Daniels has the confidence needed to succeed.
