Galway woman opens up about alleged incident where sicko 'pretended to fall' on her

A woman in Galway has taken to social media to open up about how a man allegedly touched her inappropriately after reportedly pretending to fall on her.

The woman has claimed that the man used the excuse of falling on her in the busy tourist spot of Eyre Square to commit the alleged inappropriate touching as she stood up on Thursday, June 9.

People flocked to the comments of the social media post to share their support and also put forward similar claims that instances like this had occurred to them also while in the area.

The alleged victim has also said she decided to tell her story so she could make others aware of the incident.

A Garda spokesperson has told Galway Beo that they have no report matching the incident on their system at this time.

Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident, Galway Gardaí are searching for another man who exposed himself to a woman in Eyre Square on Friday, June 2.

The alleged incident occurred on Friday afternoon at around 3.50pm when a man approached a woman in Eyre Square and exposed himself.

Gardai are on the hunt for the man but no arrests have been made.

Of this particular incident, a Garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí have received report of an incident of indecency that occurred at approximately 3:50pm on June 2, 2023, in Galway City, Co Galway.

"No arrests have been made. Enquiries are ongoing."
