Galloway Mountain Rescue Team members have been awarded the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee medals.
Lord Lieutenant of Wigtown, Mrs Aileen Brewis, made the presentation at the team’s base in Newton Stewart,
The commemorative medal is awarded to all members of the emergency services marking the 70th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s accession to the throne.
Galloway Mountain Rescue Team volunteers provide 24-hour search and rescue coverage across the south west in both mountainous, rural and urban areas in support of Police Scotland.
