Gallery: Boujis boys announce new Kensington club where Bodo's Schloss used to be

The famed team behind Boujis, B Club, Albert’s, and Mahiki has announced a new nightclub and cocktail bar, Gallery, set to open in the former home of Bodo’s Schloss. Schloss itself was something of London institution in the early Twenty-tens.

Opening at the end of March close by Kensington Palace, with a party where Bob Sinclair will play, the venue is the latest project from Carlo Carello, Jake Parkinson-Smith, Barth Rougier and Steve Manktelow. The group made their name by hosting nights that frequently drew celebrities, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, pre Slap-era Will Smith, and Justin Bieber, and their venues hosted performances by artists such as David Guetta, Carl Cox, Snoop Dogg, Keinemusik, Michael Bibi, and Pete Tong.

The group claim to have poured more than a million bottles of Champagne over their career, including for royalty — long ago, Prince Harry was a regular, William and Kate too — and heads of state.

Gallery is set to be divided into four main spaces. There will be a Cuban-themed bar, Cubanista, offering Latin-inspired drinks and music and promising to “bring Havana to life in Kensington”. The Club Room will be an underground space with a ten-tonne concrete DJ booth. The concrete will mean vinyls can be played without jumping or scratching.

Elsewhere there is Hidden Studio, a secret, access-restricted room that “offers a mysterious and exclusive retreat for adventurous patrons”. Carlo’s Pizza, named for Carello, will serve freshly made pizzas late into the night.

As the name suggests, the space is intended as a showcase of art. “Gallery will feature curated pieces from renowned artists, merging the worlds of culture and nightlife in a truly unique way,” press material says.

“Gallery is far more than just a nightclub, it’s a curated journey that seamlessly blends music, art, and unparalleled hospitality,” said Carello. “Each room is its own immersive experience, offering a diverse mix of sights, sounds, and atmospheres. We’ve created a gallery of unique spaces where guests can explore and uncover something new at every turn, ensuring there’s an experience to captivate every taste and style.”

Gallery will open on March 27 at 2A Kensington High Street, W8 4PT. For more information, visit @galleryclublondon
