Former Tottenham and Arsenal defender William Gallas believes Denzel Dumfries would be a perfect signing for Spurs and he has questioned Harry Kane's physical condition.
Spurs have struggled to find an attacking outlet among their right wing-backs with Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty both out of form while summer signing Djed Spence is yet to be given a start by Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte. Inter Milan and Netherlands defender Denzel Dumfries scored and provided two assists against the USA in the World Cup last 16 and Gallas believes he would fit in well at the north London club.
"I don't know why Spurs can't fix their problems at right-wing back. I've watched Denzel Dumfries in the last few Netherlands games and I believe he is one that Tottenham need. Dumfries is very strong, he can defend, he can attack, can get a lot of assists. Spurs are struggling with the left-side of the defence too, Daniel Levy will need to sign a top class player," Gallas told Genting Casino.

Tottenham have also been linked with USA and Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie but Gallas believes his old club should be aiming higher with their transfer targets.
"Spurs shouldn't sign Weston McKennie, they have to go to the next level," he said. "Daniel Levy has done everything right lately by building the stadium and getting them into the top four but now they need players who are top-level players. McKennie isn't a top-level player."
Former France international Gallas will be watching his country take on England on Saturday in the World Cup quarter-finals and he has given his verdict on Kane's propensity to drop deep from the attack for Spurs and claims it's to do with his physical condition.
"Karim Benzema was doing exactly what Kane is now. It's difficult for defenders to deal with when the striker goes to the middle of the pitch and Tottenham only have two solutions; either they tell Harry Kane to stay forward but if you do that then you need a player to be in the middle that can create chances in the game and I don't know if they have that player," he said. "Kane doesn't look the same physically anymore and that's why he drops deeper and Antonio Conte needs to solve that problem."
On the result of the quarter-final, Gallas added: "France have more experience than the England team. That experience will make a difference, that's why France will win. It will be hard for any fan to watch the game to penalties, it has to finish before that. I'm sure the game will be a good game to watch, it won't be played around the back like the way Italy did, England will want to get forward. I hope it will be an open game. If this game was four years ago, I'd say Harry Kane will definitely score, but his style of football has changed since."
