Gallagher becomes latest to sign up for 103 Colmore Row

An insurance and risk management firm has become the latest to take space at the new 103 Colmore Row office building in Birmingham city centre.

Gallagher has agreed a ten-year deal for 12,146 sq ft on the 13th floor of the 26-storey block at the corner with Newhall Street.

The move will enable Gallagher to bring all of its 150 staff in Birmingham into a single office.

Gallagher is the sixth company to take office space at 103 Colmore Row, joining financial services firms Grant Thornton and Tilney Smith & Williamson, property agency Knight Frank and law firm Shoosmiths.

x+why will run a flexible workspace facility and a members' business club and D&D London will operate a ground-floor café and restaurant and bar on the top floor.

More than 60 per cent of the office space in the building is now let.

Tom Gunn, head of real estate and facilities at Gallagher, said: "Having previously operated three separate offices in Birmingham, our move to 103 Colmore Row will enable us to bring everyone together under one roof and provide a modern and spacious workspace for both our colleagues and clients in a prime city centre location.

"Our move to 103 Colmore Row marks a key milestone for Gallagher in Birmingham as we continue to invest in our presence in the city and we look forward to welcoming our colleagues and clients to our new home."

The building is being developed by joint venture partners Sterling Property and Tristan Capital.

Sterling's managing director James Howarth added: "Having more than half the office space let is a real vote of confidence in the building."
