Galatasaray Considering Move For Manchester United Midfielder Casemiro

Galatasaray are eyeing a potential move for Manchester United midfielder Casemiro, as reported by ESPN sources. The Turkish club is actively seeking a midfielder and has reportedly included the Brazilian on their shortlist for potential transfers. With the transfer window in Turkey set to close on Sep. 13, Galatasaray has around 10 days left to finalize any summer deals.

Casemiro's future at Manchester United appears uncertain following a disappointing performance in the recent 3-0 loss to Liverpool. The 32-year-old midfielder was substituted at halftime after committing two costly errors that led to Liverpool's first two goals, both scored by Luis Díaz. Additionally, Casemiro faces increased competition for his spot in the team with the arrival of Manuel Ugarte from Paris Saint-Germain in a £50 million deal on deadline day.

Despite having two years remaining on his contract at Old Trafford, Casemiro's hefty wages of over £300k-a-week could pose a challenge for Galatasaray. A potential loan agreement may hinge on whether Manchester United are willing to continue contributing to his salary. Galatasaray, the reigning Turkish champions, have already secured a surprising loan deal for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.

Manchester United has been actively working to trim their wage bill by offloading high-earning players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, David de Gea, Anthony Martial, Raphaël Varane, and Jadon Sancho. Sources suggest that the club has been open to offers for Casemiro throughout the summer, although anticipated interest from the Saudi Pro League did not materialize.
