Gabriel Martinelli threw Arsenal scarf on Tottenham's spidercam in Gunners celebrations

Gabriel Martinelli took Arsenal's wild north London derby celebrations to another level when the Brazilian decided to throw an official club scarf on to the spidercam at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Gunners ran out 2-0 winners over rivals Tottenham thanks to Hugo Lloris' calamitous own-goal and Martin Odegaard's terrific long-range strike. It was a result that took Arsenal eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table following Manchester City's defeat at Manchester United on Saturday.

It felt as though there was a huge sigh of relief after the full-time whistle as Arsenal secured their first double over Tottenham since the 2013/14 season. Mikel Arteta decided to rally his troops over to the 3,000-plus travelling fans in the far corner of the stadium as the Arsenal squad celebrated another vital three points.

But Martinelli decided to add an extra piece of spice to the occasion when he chose to lob a scarf on to the Sky Sports Spidercam that had come to follow his side over to the corner of the pitch. This was to get a closer look at the Gunners squad as they applauded the fans for their support and celebrated a first win at Spurs since 2014.

The Brazilian reacted to chucking the scarf onto the camera with great delight at his quick-thinking actions. Fans were left laughing their socks off on social media after the cheeky scenes went public, with one fan posting "the disrespect, love it!", while another said "oh this is iconic!"

This wasn't the only clip that went viral as Aaron Ramsdale was kicked by a Tottenham supporter as he was collecting his water bottle behind the goal. After the Arsenal No.1 had argued with Spurs forward Richarlison following the conclusion of the match, the fan emerged at the front of the stand as Ramsdale bent down to fetch his bottle.

Despite Ramsdale being protected by a steward and team-mate Gabriel, the fan was able to kick out at him and strike the stopper on the back. In his post-match interview, Ramsdale was asked about the incident and admitted it left a "sour taste" in his mouth after being attacked by the Spurs fan.

"Spurs fans were giving me some crack second half, and I gave them some back," he said. "The few people I did give it to it was probably well greeted, in a sportsmanship way. But then a fan jumped over and gave me a little punch in the back. That's what happened, and it's a shame because it is just a game of football at the end of the day.

"Everyone, both sets of players, tried to bring me away. Thankfully nothing actually happened too drastically, but it's a sour taste."
