Gabriel Martinelli, Takehiro Tomiyasu: Arsenal injury and suspension news ahead of Wolves match

Arsenal welcome Wolves to the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night as they continue their quest to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League.

The Gunners have won their last two Premier League matches, recording a 1-0 win against Bruno Lage's side a fortnight ago before beating Brentford 2-1 on Saturday afternoon.

A win tonight would send Mikel Arteta and Co five points clear of Wolves in the table and the Spaniard is boosted by the fact that he will have Gabriel Martinelli back in his squad following his one-match suspension.

With that being said, football.london rounds up the very latest Arsenal-related injury and suspension news.

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Tomiyasu returned to the Arsenal squad for Saturday afternoon's 2-1 win against Brentford in the Premier League.

The Japan international has been struggling with a calf injury recently, but his presence in the squad at the weekend will give Arteta a huge boost.

Now, Arteta faces a big decision regarding whether the right-back is fit enough to start against Wolves on Thursday night.

Expected return date: Wolves (H), Thursday, February 24.

Gabriel Martinelli

Martinelli missed Saturday's win against Brentford after being sent off recently against Wolves for two quick-fire yellow cards.

The Brazilian attacker is expected to come back into the Gunners' squad for Thursday's match against Wolves, but the form of Emile Smith Rowe at the weekend could see him on the bench to start with.

It's another big decision for Arteta ahead of Thursday's match, but it's a good problem to have for the Spaniard.

Expected return date: Wolves (H), Thursday, February 24.

What did Arteta say?

Arteta was asked about the injury situation at Arsenal in his pre-match press conference on Wednesday morning, and the Gunners boss provided a response all the supporters wanted to hear

"No, at the moment, it’s all at it was last week," the Arsenal manager said on the injury situation right now.
