Takehiro Tomiyasu, Gabriel Martinelli: Arsenal injury and suspension news ahead of Brentford

Arsenal recorded a crucial Premier League victory away to Wolves on Thursday evening.

The Gunners opened the scoring in the first-half as Gabriel Magalhaes found the back of the net from close-range, with the visitors managing to hold on for all three points at Molineux.

Next up for Mikel Arteta and Co is a home clash with Brentford on Saturday after their scheduled match against Chelsea at the weekend was postponed due to the Blues' FIFA Club World Cup involvement.

With that in mind, football.london has rounded up all of the latest injury and suspension news at the Emirates in a bid to see who is available for Mikel Arteta for another critical fixture in the top four race.

Gabriel Martinelli

Martinelli was shown two quick-fire yellow cards in the second-half of the 1-0 win at Molineux and was sent off, leaving his side in a weakened position for the remainder of the match.

The Brazilian forward will now be suspended for Arsenal's match with Brentford next weekend.

Expected return date: Wolves (H), February 24

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Japan international Tomiyasu has been struggling with a calf injury in recent weeks and missed Thursday's win over Wolves.

The versatile right-back first suffered the problem during the 4-1 win against Leeds United back in December but tried to play through the pain barrier during last month's 2-0 defeat to Liverpool in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final.

Arteta confirmed that the Japanese international returned to training ahead of the trip to Wolverhampton.

What Arteta has said: "He’s there. He had a recurring injury in the same place, so we had to be careful with him, but he’s been training hard. Let’s see if he’s available for Thursday."

Expected return date: Brentford (H), February 19

Mohamed Elneny

Elneny enjoyed a productive Africa Cup of Nations as his Egypt side reached the final before losing out to Senegal in a penalty shootout.

The 29-year-old was on the bench for Arsenal's win at Molineux. Although he did not come on, he is fit and available to play at the weekend.

Expected return date: N/A
