Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli has promised supporters that the Gunners will continue to try and win games, claiming they deserve titles in the Premier League and the Champions League. It comes after the youngster has played an important role in the early season form for Mikel Arteta's side.
They've managed to have an ideal opening to their campaign, sitting top of the table with 12 wins from their opening 14 games in the division. Arteta's men have also managed to build a five-point gap on second-placed Manchester City, with a month-long break for the World Cup now interrupting domestic football.
While they will have to wait to get right back into action, there continues firm talk surrounding a push for the title this season. “We are today,” Arteta conceded when asked if his side are in the mix for the title. “But in football, today and tomorrow is very different. So let’s enjoy the time.

“Do something: just look at the last six years, what Manchester City have done. With the best manager in the world, the best team in the world. They have shown it consistently in every single competition. We have to be very, very respectful of that.
“We are getting much better as a team and competing much better. We are getting really good results right now, but this is a long, long [season].”
One thing that has become blatantly clear in the current run of form is the raising of standards at the Emirates Stadium, with the manager always demanding more from his players, even when they're winning. This change has also resonated with the players, seen clearly from youngster Martinelli.
He told The Players' Tribune: "We will continue to go for the win each game, because that is what this club should do. Arsenal is not about 'getting a point'. Arsenal is not about finishing fourth. Arsenal is about titles. The league. The Champions League. That’s what the fans deserve."
Arsenal aren't quite the finished article yet when it comes to a team consistently challenging for such trophies, however this season could represent a huge step towards that goal.
