Barcelona winger Ansu Fati is the latest player to be linked with a transfer to Arsenal.
The Gunners failed to land primary attacking target Mykhailo Mudryk during the January window before swiftly signing Belgian winger Leandro Trossard from Brighton instead. Still, Mikel Arteta's side continue to be linked with several wingers, including Fati.
Spanish outlet Cadena Cop have reported that the north London outfit have made contact with Fati’s agent Jorge Mendes to enquire about the availability of the 20-year-old ahead of the summer transfer window. It is claimed that the Spaniard is concerned about his status within Xavi's squad, with the former central midfielder changing his system this term.

Fati is already familiar with one Arsenal winger in the form of Gabriel Martinelli, who spent some time on trial with Barcelona before arriving at the Emirates Stadium back in the summer of 2019. Speaking recently with The Players' Tribune, Martinelli said: “I went to La Masia in Barcelona. I practised with Ansu Fati when I went there. We became friends and I stayed there for 15 days.
"Then it didn't work out either, they didn't want me. But four or five months later Arsenal signed me.
"My path was at Arsenal. It wasn’t supposed to be elsewhere & thank God it didn’t work out & I came to Arsenal.”
Martinelli also spoke about Fati back in 2020, when he told Marca : “They (Barcelona) were very good, I made the most of it and did my best. Seeing how they train, knowing the structure of the club, the city … was a dream come true too.
“I even trained with Ansu Fati and we became friends.
“He helped me a lot there and now he’s playing on the main team. He is a boy who deserves everything good that is happening to him. He is super humble and welcomed me super well there.”
