Arsenal star Gabriel Martinelli has highlighted how summer signing Gabriel Jesus has had a positive impact on Mikel Arteta's squad on and off the pitch.
Technical director Edu worked hard to convince Jesus that a move to the Emirates Stadium was the right next step for him and the Brazilian is now loving life in north London. Jesus was keen to leave Manchester City in search for regular first team football, resulting in the 25-year-old signing for Arsenal in a £45million deal.
The Brazilian striker has scored five goals and provided a further four assists in 10 appearances so far this season after enjoying a strong pre-season with his new club. Arteta has praised Jesus for how well he has settled into life at the Gunners, and his teammates have benefited from the Brazilian's 'winning mentality'.

Speaking ahead of the clash against Liverpool this afternoon, Martinelli has lauded his compatriot for his help on and off the pitch, as per The Mirror. The Brazilian winger said: “It means a lot to play with him and have the connection we do, I can learn a lot of things from him.
"He’s a very good guy and not just me but all the players are very happy with him. On and off the pitch he’s a great guy. He always tries to give advice to us — go in behind or come short to play. When he makes one movement, we do another one, so he always tries to help us with these details and they are so important.”
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been full of praise for both Martinelli and Jesus ahead of the clash this afternoon, and the former is enjoying his chance to play regular football under Mikel Arteta. The 21-year-old added: “It couldn’t be better [playing regularly].
"That’s what I want: to play every single game and try to do my best to help the team. We are playing well and we need to keep the intensity we are putting in, we need to keep this mentality. It has been unbelievable being part of this front four.
"All of them are very good players. Me, Jesus, Odegaard… Fabio Vieira as well in the Europa League on Thursday, and the other players who are starting are big players and we have a very good team."
