Gabriel Jesus told he has ‘better all-round game’ than Harry Kane ahead of Arsenal’s clash with Tottenham

Gabriel Jesus has more to his game overall than Harry Kane, according to Glen Johnson.

The Brazilian has made a flying start to life as an Arsenal player after his summer move from Manchester City, with four goals and three assists in the Premier League.

He’s played a crucial role in helping the Gunners to sit top of the table after seven matches of the season, a defeat at OId Trafford the only slip-up in an otherwise incredibly impressive run from Mikel Arteta’s side.

Tottenham are just a point behind Arsenal and are still unbeaten in the league going into this weekend’s north London derby, with the performances of Jesus and Kane set to play a crucial role in the outcome of the clash at the Emirates.

Kane has been in strong form himself with six league goals, but while Johnson believes the England captain is the more clinical of the two strikers, he feels Jesus is the more complete player.

“I’m a big fan of Jesus, but Kane is a proper goalscorer,” Johnson told SafeBettingSites.

“Jesus’ all-round game is better, though if you’ve got a goalscoring opportunity to win the game then I think Kane is the man.”

Spurs have not been entirely convincing this season despite their unbeaten record in the league, though they did click into gear in front of goal against Leicester before the international break as Heung-min Son made a welcome return to the scoresheet.

The Gunners fell short in their first big test of the season, against Manchester United, but the opportunity is there for one team to make a real statement this weekend with victory over their rivals.

“It would be a massive win for either team, because both teams are performing really well and you’ve got to show that you’re at that level,” Johnson said.

“There’s a lot of teams in the league that can get to a position near the top of the table, but it can be false, because it depends who you’ve been playing.

“These are two clubs now where they’re both in form, they’re both knocking around the top of the table and you’re going to have to prove that you’re the best at some stage.”

He added: “This game is probably the biggest 50/50 this season.”
