Gabriel Jesus slams Yerry Mina in X-Rated rant after Arsenal pre-season clash against Everton

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus has accused Yerry Mina of 'talking s***' during the Gunners' pre-season victory over Everton last week.

Goals from new recruit Jesus and youngster Bakayo Saka were enough for Mikel Arteta's side to claim a 2-0 victory over Frank Lampard's side during their first game of pre-season in Baltimore last weekend.

Though, despite the victory of the Blues, it seems the antics of Mina have ruffled the feathers of his former Palmeiras teammate, Jesus, who could be since clashing with the Colombian defender throughout the game.

But now the former Manchester City man has spoken out about the clash between the pair during the game at the M&T Bank Stadium.

“You know what, I have played with Mina before in Palmeiras,” the Brazilian striker told TNT Sports. “We were so close to each other. Then, after, I don’t know why he started to attack me to do something like this on my chest and then talking s***. I don’t know why.

“I don’t know the reason for him to do this. In the end, I am not a kid anymore and I go straight to him as well. After we won the game and that’s all.”

Despite neither Jesus nor Mina disclosing what was the sole cause behind their argument during the pre-season encounter in the United States, it seems that the friendship they enjoyed during their days in Brazil has certainly been hampered and shows no signs of being amended anytime soon.

Jesus and Mina were teammates in 2016 before the Brazilian joined Manchester City in a deal worth £27m, meanwhile, Mina joined La Liga giants Barcelona in January 2018 for a fee of £10.5m. However, after just six months at the Nou Camp, the defender joined Everton under then manager Marco Silva.

Everton continue their preparations for the new season during the early hours of Thursday morning when they face Minnesota United.
