Arsenal vs Leicester City was always going to be an interesting fixture for Youri Tielemans given all the speculation surrounding his future at the moment.
Heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium all summer, Saturday afternoon could have been one final audition for the midfielder in front of Mikel Arteta and Gunners technical director Edu amid talk of completing a transfer before the window closes on September 1.
Unsurprisingly there was some reaction towards Tielemans from Arsenal fans throughout his time on the pitch and when he was substituted around the hour mark the reception he received was interesting, to say the least, as a chorus of boos echoed around the stadium, but these quickly gave way to applause and eventually a standing ovation.

But long before that moment was an incident in the first-half that has left many Gunners supporters convinced that Gabriel Jesus did a lot more than mark his competitive home debut for the club by netting a brace and weighing in with two assists in a 4-2 win for the home side.
As spotted and uploaded to Twitter by @Gooner_Dynasty, in the 25th minute - so not too long after Arsenal had broken the deadlock thanks to a brilliant strike from their £45million summer signing from Manchester City - the striker was seen saying something in the direction of Tielemans but covered his mouth whilst speaking.
This has prompted many theories that Gabriel Jesus was playing the agent role with @Meldinho_Pilusa going as far as to predict that 'see you at next week's training bro' was the Brazilian's seven-word message to the Leicester midfielder.
Of course, whilst nobody can know for sure what Gabriel Jesus said to Tielemans, it's perhaps not completely out of the realms of possibility that the Brazilian wasn't speaking about a transfer, especially when considering the role he played in Oleksandr Zinchenko's arrival from Manchester City.
"Obviously I knew from Gabriel Jesus, who came earlier than me, told me about the amazing atmosphere inside," the Ukraine international revealed. "We have a young team with some experienced players. I think it’s a great time for the Arsenal and let’s see what’s going to be this season."
The latest on this transfer saga is that whilst football.london understands that Arsenal do hold a serious interest in signing Tielemans, they are prepared to wait until next summer to land him on a free as his contract at the King Power Stadium is due to expire in June 2023.
