Gabriel Jesus sends eight-word message and photo to Arsenal fans after successful knee surgery

Gabriel Jesus has sent a message to Arsenal fans after undergoing successful surgery following his knee injury. The Gunners striker suffered a medial cruciate ligament injury during Brazil's final Group G fixture against Cameroon and has since been ruled out of the remainder of the World Cup.

Jesus was initially expected to miss three to four weeks of action, but reports in Brazil later claimed his injury could be much worse. The forward has returned to London Colney and now looks set to be out for a number of weeks with the typical recovery time for an MCL injury taking 10 to 12 weeks.

This would see Jesus return to action in February next year, missing Premier League clashes against Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham. Arsenal have since released a statement on Jesus' health as the Brazilian begins his rehabilitation.
