Gabriel Jesus names his one Arsenal demand as he reveals objective for new teammates

Arsenal announced their fourth signing of the summer on Monday after securing the services of Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.

The Brazilian joins Fabio Vieira, Matt Turner and Marquinhos as new additions at the club, with the expectation that there's more to follow in the coming weeks.

It's thought that Jesus was a priority for Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu, following the departures of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette. It left striker options short and in desperate need of strengthening ahead of what is expected to be a demanding 2022/23 season.

Champions League football may have narrowly been missed out on, but Europa League qualification was secured and five substitutions will be permitted. There's no doubt that new signings were and still are required, but a positive attitude and mentality must remain on and off the pitch if the team wants to continue its progress moving forwards.

This is exactly what Jesus expects not only from himself but also from his new Arsenal teammates. Speaking to the club website about his move to north London, the Brazilian touched on his character and what it takes to achieve success.

"Since my first day at a professional team with Palmeiras I had that mentality which comes from inside of me, my heart," he said. "I started to play to win with Palmeiras, then the Brazilian Olympic team and national team, and then City.

"We have to go at it with everyone together, there’s no other way to win things. When you have a good relationship outside of the pitch, inside works automatically, and that’s my mentality."
